Default New to Golf Cart world need Electrical help

just recently got a ezgo 36v. believe its a 2000 model because the tag says model is K300. the serial number is 1320072. just put some refurb batteries in it because previous owner put 3 12 volt truck batteries in. very disappointed in the power im getting from it. I dont think i want to upgrade to 48v system so what can i do to make it climb better and get more performance

Have Plum Quick rebuild the motor and do the Bandit upgrade for about $275 plus shipping.

36v is an obsolete operating voltage. Nobody makes a 36 volt golf cart anymore because 48 volts produces more power and more speed more efficiently.
I understand the I just bought batteries thing but there are still a couple of options to get to 48v.
Add 2 more 6v batteries in the rear bagwell.
Return to battery dealer and exchange 6/6v for 6/8v batteries.
The PQ bandit will improve the stock motor but it is not going to wow you on 36v. 48v will improve this option as well.
IMO all carts should be running 48v and there are some excellent options for this cart at the higher voltage.

Agree with Scotty....You will see a difference with the 6/6volt.

This is the number on the cart I just converted. Its a EZGO DCS. I added 2 6v batteries to make it 48v. I them added the Alltrax 400 and HD solenoid from Scotty. Cart runs 24mph.

Will the 6 8volts fit in the same spot as the 6 volts? Im also wanting this to be a hunting buggy but still be good on the road. i have youre website saved and im looking through it so could you point me in the right direction to get this to perform well? still trying to figure out why it wont charge.

Yes, the 6v and 8v batteries share the same footprint. The + and - posts are in different places so you may need different cables depending on how creative you can get with their arrangement.

If the prior owner had three 12v batteries in there he may have just used a 12v charger on each one individually. Could be the charge port isn't connected or the charger may not be good.

Your going to need a 48 volt charger when you upgrade so keep that in mind if you find current charger is bad.
