Exclamation 93 club car ds 36v upgrade

want some help?? I have a 93 club car ds electric. I bought new 36v batteries
but would like to upgrade to 48v at some point. I bought an 36/48 v charger. can I upgrade wiring and get a 36/48v motor and other electrical components and still
run 36v until I need new batteries??

Does it have a controller or resistors?

I was looking at a friend's '93 36 volt cart the other day with a view to upgrading to 48 volts (Lithium). His controller has 36v - 48v stamped on the side. So I think it'll just need a 48v solenoid. I'll likely put in a new F/R switch for good measure.

If other folks are aware of any other necessary upgrades - please chime in.

I was in the same position. If you have 36v currently you can add 2 more 6 volt batteries to get 48v. I did not want to mess with that so I returned my 36 volt and paid a small fee to get 48v batteries. I’m in the process of upgrading, waiting on motor and controller. Should be up and running soon!

went benefit auction and bought a 2016 club car precedent. So son-in-law is going to flip the 93 and when he sells it he will pay me what I got in it. the newer cart was tricked out nice.
