Default New Rear leaf ‘collapsing’

My driver rear leaf spring is collapsing on my 2014 precedent.

I upgraded the factory springs when I did the GTW seat 4 years ago. Last year, I noticed that the cart was leaning and bought new HD springs (American) plus rear shocks. I’m still getting the ‘collapsed’ rear left spring. Is there any other parts I should be replacing ?

It appears the springs are too long. This will cause the springs to push the shackles to the rear just like the drivers side shows.

In fact, the passenger side is also pushed to the rear although not as much.

The shackles do more than just connect the spring to the frame. They account for a lot of the suspension flexibility.

This is very common with aftermarket springs on the precedents. The aftermarket springs have more arch to the spring than the stock spring does, and it causes the spring to be longer when it is compressed, so it flips the shackle up because they are so short on the precedent.
Making a 1” longer shackle fixes the problem and is super cheap.

Club Car also has a single leaf heavy duty spring that is excellent for precedent carts with a rear seat or cargo bed and it does not have that issue at all. It also rides very smooth, not like a brick the way the multi-leaf aftermarket springs do.

Pretty sure David at Revolution Golf Cars has them or can get them, if you’re interested in those.
