Re: RVX reverse alarm
If you disconnect it the cart will not run and may damage the controller. You can put a piece of tape over the hole and it will definitely help. Option 2 is to get a handheld and turn it off.

Re: RVX reverse alarm
Anyone have a description of where the alarm comes from? I would also like to reduce the noise it makes. I also have a 2018 rxv.

Re: RVX reverse alarm
Additionally, per the second option of using a handheld to reprogram, do I need a passkey to use this or is it only needed for speed upgrade? Thanks!

Re: RVX reverse alarm
Dealers use a Passkey to speed a cart up. You need a handheld or a programming station to be able to turn the reverse buzzer off. You can speed up a RXV faster than a dealer can with a programming station and the knowledge to do it.

Re: RVX reverse alarm
Got it taped and it reduced the sound considerably. Thanks! Usgicollector, now that this is my third post, I will be contacting soon to chat about a controller upgrade.

A foam rubber ear plug stuffed in the hole works great to muffle the beeper.

Re: RVX reverse alarm
I run with a piece of tape over the hole on my reverse buzzer. Still loud enough for safety but not ear piercing.
