Default Regen 1 or 2

I think it's on the Regen 2 the extra coil that is for regen is it also used for half-speed reverse. On another Forum that is what the moderator is stating that it is not for the regen but it is for half speed reverse. Is he correct is it used for both our only regen

My take on this:

The resistor coil and solenoid are only for a slower reverse speed and does not affect regen unless you're going fast in reverse.

The resistor coil is only in the circuit when the solenoid deenergizes when the cart is put into reverse. In forward, the solenoid stays energized so the resistor coil is not in the circuit.

But I could stand corrected!

I guess technically it could be used for both, but the controller doesn't NEED that in order for reverse to be half speed. That's generally something that's just programmed into the controller.
The primary functions of the resistor are downhill braking (excessive speed) control and roll-away control.

This is also what I thought but he's saying it's for reverse only

Shows how little I know. I removed mine years ago and never gave it much thought.

See, you can teach old dogs new tricks!

And I stand corrected!

Sorry for missing this Greg.

I ripped all the old stuff out and converted to IQ! I have the Alltrax set for 30% reverse speed.
