Default slow moving

1998 club car electric, new batteries, replaced one of 2 solenoids, 48v going to terminal fixed the issue of not moving, now it takes forever to to catch forward or reverse and its sloooooow **** should I replace second solenoid, cabled green wire from one side of the solenoid to the coiled resistor then the green wire back to the solenoid ... someone suggested removing coiled resistor wire ...
