Intermittent no-go and hot at charging port
Recently my parents EZGO L200 36v has been having power issues. If they get in, turn the key, press the pedal, and it works then it works for the entire trip around the yard and garden, and back up to the house. It has never stopped working while on a drive, even though they stop and go.
The problem occurs when they try to use it an hour or a day later. Get in, turn the key, press the pedal, and NO GO. Nothing. Then two or three hours later it may work just fine or it may be a day or two days. The only other issue is that the charging wire, near the port, has started getting pretty hot. The batteries test around 36+ volts, and all connections have been thoroughly cleaned and tightened. The solenoid tests good. This is an older cart that was previously used by maintenance at an apartment complex before my parents got it. It was not properly cared for, but my dad has been good to it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |
