No reverse now after IQ upgrade

So I just completed IQ upgrade on my cart but reverse doesn't really work. Sometimes the solenoid will click and other times it won't, sometimes it starts to go in reverse but then stops. Forward works fine even switching around which tab its connected to on the switch. Not sure if something is connected wrong or not? Any ideas? TIA

You need to add a little more information. Like what kind of cart you're working. What exactly is an IQ upgrade?

If it works fine in forward, but the solenoid doesn't even click in reverse that's usually an indication the FnR switch is bad, or wiring is faulty. Could just be a loose connection.
What controller do you have, and did you replace the main wire harness?

I think I read he swapped the F&R wires on the rocker switch and the problem stayed with the reverse side. If true, this could indicate a controller problem or a Field wire problem? Check F1 and F2 wires.

Also it would be helpful to know what cart exactly it is and what upgrade exactly since, contrary to common belief, all carts and controls are not the same

Maybe...Pin 16 on the controller plug is not making good contact. This tells the controller to go into reverse.

Unplug the connector, check the wire on pin 16, and plug it back in.

Also note this controller has 2 halves. It is basically 2 controllers in one. 1 side powers forward and the other side powers reverse.
