Default Running slow after hit in back

Good afternoon,

My amazing daughter hit a pole backing up a bit fast and now my 2000 Ezgo txt seems to accelerate ok but slows down immediately. Is there something I can look at that might have triggered this?

It’s a 36v with original motor and an aftermarket Alltrax sr48500 controller.

Thanks

Joe

Look for loose connections. If you don't find one look for a voltmeter.

When it slows down have you checked for anything that’s heating up?

Taking off strong and fast then immediately slowing down is characteristic of a bad speed sensor. Is the cart a series, a DCS, or a PDS ? Series doesn't have a speed sensor. Hard to imagine how a rear impact could affect a speed sensor, but I guess stranger things have happened.

It’s a TXT Series. I’m not sure what to check on it or how to check it. I know batteries are fine because they are holding charge and after a full charge are showing 38.8v

I’ve read that it could be the controller, how can I check if mine is bad? I have an Alltrax SR48500.

Could it be the throttle sensor or F/R switch? What should I look for? I’m afraid to take into any shop in town, people are shady and have been screwed in the past here in Miami.

What should I check for with the voltmeter?

Thanks,

If you can hook up a computer to it you can view the monitor page to see what is going on.. Also if you can look at the led and see if it changes to amber at full throttle.

So if I hook up a voltmeter it says battery pack is at 37.3v however when I hook up the computer to the Alltrax it tells me batteries are low and reads 28.2v under the monitor tab.

What could be happening here?

When does it show that voltage? Just key on or pedal pushed?

Pedal pushed. Once I release pedal, volts start going down. I would assume this is normal.
