Great idea. The only negative might be the inability to totally remove the seat which I prefer to do when doing battery maintenance. Perhaps the latch could be mounted on the cart and a catch on the seat bottom.

I’m curious if a detailed set of “how to” instructions on this modification were ever developed? When leaving cart unattended in a public space, I love the idea of locking the seat after switching into tow mode combined with padlocking the steering wheel with it fully turned in one direction.

After converting to a 45lb. Lithium battery pack I wanted some seat security. I bought two of these and wrapped them around the seat arm rest upright to the steel seat back upright behind it. You can cinch these up very tight. I also relocated my "tow/run" switch to the dash so I didn't have the need to raise the seat very often. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Having a hard time envisioning it. Can you post a pic?

If you are referring to my post, sorry but my cart is 90 miles away. Watch the video on the Amazon page. It shows you how the lock works. The locks have "Unlocked, Locked and Cinch" settings. On cinch you can really pull these snug and they won't slip back then you just turn the key to lock. You basically cinch the seat arm rest frame to the seat back support and you can hardly pull the seat up. There is a hole in the seat back upright to run the cable through that limits vertical travel. Sorry I don't have a pic.

I edited the post above. You actually cinch the seat down through the ARMREST to the seat back upright.
