Default 86 Ezgo stroke low compression

Im thinking of purchasing a 1986 ez-go 2 cycle gas cart. (first cart for me)
Owner says it needs rings (weak compression) wondering if anyone would know a ball park figure for rebuilding (myself) or having a repair facility do it.
the cart seems to be in good shape other than this.. been lifted 4" and has 22x18x8 tires

Any comments would be appreciated..

thanks

Welcome!

Yourself...depending on what you replace, kits range from $75 -$300 from our sponsors.

Dealer/Repair shop...you'd have to call your local shop to find out.

Welcome!! your looking at $200.00 for a complete top end kit and $400.00 for a upper and lower kit you will at least want to replace the crank seals in ether case another $15.00 and most upper kits don't supply you with a new piston pin bearing which I would replace again about the $15.00 range.Simple job with most basic tools. Shop from what I've seen quotes from $600-$1000 which is NUTS. Let us know which direction you want to go well be happy to help.
