Surf, the idle mixture is usually one and a half turns out, to start.

Yes plugged the line...now it is running and drove me around ......might be making a bit of metal noise from inside ...BUT it was way better 2nd time up the hill....going to warm it up and cool it off a few times and see what it sounds like ....

???? on the carb beside the fuel line is a post with a hole in bottom ,...I cleared the passage but am wondering what is up , it does not appear to be for a hose or it would have a flare in it I would think....
Should I cap it ??Should I ignore it??

that's the oil injection, I hope you did away with it and are premixing your fuel, or that metal sound might be more than you think. I left a little bit of hose on mine and plugged it.
