Default Re: electric rxv won't move...SOLVED

Mine is a rebuilt 2012 with new body, big wheels, paint, seats.. all redone. Started 'not moving' a couple of months ago. Flipping the tow/run switch a few times got the electric brake to disengage. But, this is not the solution.

So, as smart as I think I am, I replaced the electric brake (very easy to do). Seemed to work, then started 'not moving' again intermittently. So, I'm not so smart.

Called my buddy in service at Dever Golf Carts (Louisville/Lexington). He told me they are instructed, with any electric being serviced or being prepared new for sale, to replace the 36V (go figure) with a 48V solenoid. Got one for $60 bucks and change, took about 10 mins to swap.

FIXED.

So my $200 new brake works fine, coulda done it for $60. The difference is the STUPID TAX I paid.

Your 2012 should have the 36v solenoid...

I fully agree if it's a Curtis controller. Unless the parameters have been changed.
