I have a Gear Whine reducer that helps in many cases (not all)

I have a 1999 Ezgo txt. That just stopped and started making a very loud whine. When you step on the gas it whines but doesn't move. Almost like a belt or something is slipping. Anyone have any idea what the problem is. Sounds like the motor

1) you are posting on old thread. Better to start a new thread.

2) You are not describing "classic" rear end whine.

Here is some help.
Try this.

Sounds like "parking/Emergency" brake issue.

1) Key to "off"
2) place run/tow switch to "tow"
3) key to "N"
4) try to push cart by hand.

Cart should roll freely.
If cart rolls freely BEFORE you follow procedure above -you have bad brake.
if cart does NOT roll freely after placing cart in tow. --you have bad brake

if cart will not roll before placing in tow and rolls freely in tow-
we need to try again to find problem -- please start new thread.

Not familiar with all WorkHorses, but I had a gasser. Is this electric or gas?

Sorry

Quick read did not pay enough attention ---

Post was for RXV only... has nothing to do with TXT..
