I think the main reason for that design of a kit is simply because they can use a lot of the same parts to make lift kits for a wide variety of golf carts with a reletively small number of parts. If you look at their stuff, the kits are all pretty similar across all brands they offer lift kits for.

Anyone out there using the MadJax 6" lift?

Did you get it to work correctly?

I don't have a Madjax lift, or even a Yamaha for that matter, but I dabble in front ends a little. In my experience, toe out usually is one of the main reasons for bad handling, and it'll make one want to dart and wander like nobody's business. Try setting your toe-IN 1/8" (or so).

These terminologies can be confusing sometimes, so just to be clear that means that you need to measure from centerline to centerline at the furthest forward point on the front of your front tires. Then do the same at the furthest rearward point on the back of your front tires. The measurement that you get for the rear should be what you got on the front, PLUS 1/8". That most likely won't impact the squishy ride problem, but it may fix or improve your handling problems. It's worth a shot.

Try zero toe in first. That's what we set Jakes kits at and makes alot of differance.

I put the 6" madjax lift on my '08 a couple weeks ago. I actually had to cut down the tie rod because the front was toe'd in too far and I couldn't adjust it in enough to compensate. Talked to an installer in my area that said he usually had to do some "tweaking" like that with the madjax lift on the drives. So after some tweaking of my own and adjusting the toe/camber I had it driving smooth around the neighborhood paved streets. Fast forward to last weekend while camping that sucker was rolling back and forth on dirt roads and old forest service tracks. I had to keep the speed down to feel comfortable. I figured I knocked the toe out riding it hard over some ravines, so I made some field adjustments with no luck. Back in neighborhood on paved streets its fine. I'm stumped.

I adjusted my Toe-Out as far as the tie-rods would let me. It handles a little better now, but not great. I will adjust the camber next. The shocks seem really weak though...may have to find replacements.
