I just realized that when you say 61.2v you must be talking peak while charger is plugged into cart. I took my measurements with charger unplugged from the cart. I'll set my meter to record Min/Max and hook it up while on charge and lets see where it ends up.

When measuring charged and rested US Battery look for 51.2 volts whereas 50.9 for Trojan and/or other FLA batteries...

As for the 59.2 (59.3) voltage quoted that's max in the "Bulk" charging sequence for Trojan with a max acceptable voltage in the Finish/Equalize of 64.8 volts. My DPI floats at 53.0 volts... So given these specs I'd feel safe to WAG that with US Battery your charging voltages may run a full 2 volts higher but once standing or floating voltage is measured I'd only expect to see about .3 volts more...

So, I have a DPI charger that I have yet to use because I'm in the middle of converting to 48V. I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of 8V US Battery high capacity batteries. What do I need to change on the DPI to make sure I'm charging the pack properly to get the most life out of them?

NM, just referred to the manual and found that I can change the charge profile myself. Which algorithm do you guys use for US Battery since that isn't an option per my manual?

Just thought I'd add this to the discussion, I found this picture showing US Batteries installed without the water system. Seems they just broke off the linkage on the front battery caps to get the battery hold down bracket to fit.

I'm new to the golf cart world, but have immersed myself in research over the past week. Finally pulled the trigger on buying one yesterday - so excuse my questions if they sound elementary. Are all EzGo 's shipped with Trojan batteries?

I think there was talk about them useing us battery once?

There is a US batery plant in augusta , the same town they make ezgo so I find this plausible.

they use both, depends on how ordered by dealer. and sometimes Ezgo even sends what the dealer orders . now if i could only get the 6x 8v with T875 (not stupid Dc8 "T860").

Charging test results;

2008 Ezgo RXV - 4 x 12vdc USBatteries
Ezgo Powerwise QE charger

Before Charge: 50.7 vdc
Start Charge: 55.0 vdc
Max Charge: 64.8 vdc
95 to 98 % Charge: 64.5 vdc
1 hour after charging complete: 51.9 vdc

I appears everything is working correctly.
