It's called a plug brake. Don't completely understand how it works, but if you replace a control that don't have one you just bypass that terminal and go straight to the fnr switch with the A2 wire.

Re: 1206 controller
Plug braking keeps you from impaling yourself on the steering column if you shift into Reverse while the cart is traveling forward.
Basically, without plug braking, if you change directions while the cart is moving, the motor locks up and the cart stops while you and your passengers continue moving. |

Re: 1206 controller
Is a 1206 what's in my 96 series cart? Want to make a deal crash? I'm about to order a new altrax from Scotty and going to sell mine.

Re: 1206 controller
Hmmm. I think I have spade clips. Not the 6 pin? We're about to go on the lake. I will take a pic when we get back. But yes it's working. Just rode It this mourn.
Just got this cart but it was my step grandads. He used it on his like 1/6 acre golf course lot. And use to play a few rounds of golf a week, but I don't think he played much in the last 10 years. I will check when we get back in a few hours. |

Re: 1206 controller
Well that was a bust. Got boat cranked in drive. Got to lake and it just fell on its face when I went to give it throttle. That's what happens went against my better judgement I don't take it to the lake and at least run it once a year. Haven't been out on it in 3 years. Since before my son was born. I bet if I would of taken the other older simpler boat it would of run fine!
Well next weekend I see cleaning out 3 carbs in my future. So anyway here is the pic I promised you. It does have spade connections. So unless you can cut that plug and put spades on it if it will work...don't even know if that's an option, it won't work. |
