Default Weld broke on lift

Purchased a 6 inch steeleng lift kit last month for my build. Noticed today that the riser for the ball joints has broken a weld. I'm leaving for the outer Banks Saturday morning. I got in touch with some one at steeleng last night to see if I could get a replacement. They are sending it fedex ground. Should I worry it won't arrive by tomorrow 20160608_181130.jpg

I certainly wouldn't run it like that.

If it were me I'd take it off and weld it up. If you don't weld I would go find a buddy that does or a shop and bug them to do it for you cause your in a bind.

Hope it's isolated as I have the same lift

They may be sending it Fedex ground but who knows how long it will take. You might give them a call and see if they will give you a tracking # .If you want to be sure is it possible to get that one welded ?.

When I talked to the rep at steeleng, He said they had problems with the welds just being tacked, painted and shipped out. If its not here tomorrow, I'll hunt a welder. Rep at steeleng promised it would arrive tomorrow. Clemson I would check the welds if I were you. Mine is parked till its fixed. I dont want it the fail at full speed

I looked at the welds on the axle and they all looked good and even to me. I noticed those on the risers were more crude but honestly I didn't "inspect" them really.

The guys at Steeleng are really good guys. I walked in and spoke with 2 of the guys in the office a few weeks ago. Seemed very good and attentive to customer.

I'm in eastern NC and I order a lot from them for my builds, and usually get it over night. Maybe it will come.

yep looks like they forgot to weld them, I can see the tack on both ends, i'm surprised they don't go back through the invoices and send out notices to all the people who purchased the lift kits.. i can't seeing anyone charging you more than $10 bucks to weld that, I would do it for free and i'm sure most guys would.. good luck.

Are you saying the welds in that pic are from a new lift, that is one month old? Im only a novice welder but holy cow. Whomever did that should obviously not be welding on suspension parts. Let us know what is said when you take it to a welding shop. Be careful.

Looks like I need to learn a new trade. If I had a welder and knew how I would. Think I'll add a welder to my shop after my vacation and learn how. Always looking to learn something new. Yes purchased April 28th
