Default 2008 ez go speed????

Disappointed in speed, not sure the model but ordered the best and fastest motor from D&D, 500 amp controller , 2 gauge wires, just converted to 48 volt to day , 22 inch tires and all. I'm getting is 20 mph, is that about right ? Think a 8:1 gear in near future

Did you charge the batteries? They don't come fully charged? That still seems to slow for batteries that are probably 80%

Responses like this are of questionable value.
Poster doesn't know what motor he has, or what drive system he has.
And yet you can answer questions the techs can not.

Your right. I was assuming he had a pds cart but I guess they had series carts in that model year as well.

So yes knowing what cart he has would be necessary info to say for sure if that is or is not a ball park speed for that cart.

If it's a series cart on 48v with a custom motor 20 mph would be correct.

Sounds like we both have 2008 TXT PDS carts.

If you are running an Alltrax XCT (or DCX) controller, with a fully charged 48V battery pack and 22" tall tires, you ought to be getting more than 20 MPH.

However, if your 22" tires are the low pressure type (<10PSI max inflation pressure), they may be holding the top speed down.

Also, make sure the field map matches the motor.
