Default E-Z GO Want move if your setting on it

I have a e-z go marathon and it just stopped and had to have it pulled home. It set for a day or two till I had time to look at it. Now you can put it in F or R and push the pedal it will move forward or reverse no problem. BUT if you set on it it will not move at all. If you get off and push the pedal it will not move at all. Let it set for 10 or 15 minutes and it will do the same thing over again.

Intermittent problems are difficult to troubleshoot to say the least.

When the cart is misbehaving, does the solenoid click when you push the pedal?

If it clicks, the problem is in the high current circuit.
If it doesn't click, the problem is in the solenoid activation circuit.

Yes the solenoid will always clicks no matter if it moves are not. Before it started doing what it's doing now sometimes it would stop moving and I'd have to lit off the pedal and push it back down and it would take off. But it didn't do this all the time just every now and then.

Okay, solenoid clicks, so problem is in high current circuit.

Also sounds like the problem has a mechanical factor. (Thread title is Won't move if you are sitting on it and you mentioned cart stopping while in motion.)

The F/R switch assembly is attached to the seat pedestal, so there may be some flexing from the driver's weight.
Maybe the center nut has worked loose, or the cam isn't going all the way into the mechanical stops.
Try moving the direction selector lever when cart is misbehaving.

---------------
Electrically:
Connect DVM between controller's B= and M- terminals.
Push pedal just far enough for solenoid to click and you should read full battery pack voltage (38.2V if fully charged)

If you don't get it, you have an open somewhere in the high current cables highlighted on attached schematic.

If you do get it, slowly push pedal to floor and the voltage should smoothly decrease to near zero. If not, either controller or throttle is bad.
