Studdering issues at low throttle
So when I go under full acceleration the cart runs just fine but when I drive around with the pedal barely pressed down or stop and go it wants to studder. I've noticed that the solenoid is super hot as well. I'm runnin 48v with a dcx400 controller, 1/0 wiring and a plum quick motor. Any ideas guys?

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
Shudder is often solenoid bouncing in and out... would explain the heat too.
but why? hi amp draw- low voltage? Which solenoid? |

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
I did find the cable that goes from the battery pack to the controller slightly loose.
Scotty it's the 48v solenoid I bought from you |

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
Loose cable is the worst! They get really hot and melt stuff
Check all 20 cable connections in this cart. |

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
I checked all the connections and drove it again. I didn't drive it far to see if the solenoid got hot but it is still jerking some. Think the damage is done and the solenoid needs to be replaced?

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
I talked to the guy at Graham's and he thinks it's the inductive throttle sensor going bad. Says it might have a crack in it

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
That solenoid is pretty tough it has weld resistant contacts.
You can test the ITS signal. voltage measured between pins 1 & 2 for DCX controls (ITS) Min. pedal up > 9.90 V < max. pedal down 6.35 V (variance +/- 0.5v) |

Re: Studdering issues at low throttle
So the day before our trip I brought the cart home from work and we got caught in some bad weather with some strong rain. I pulled the mat back and opened the cover to check on the ITS. There was some water in there among with some dirt. I pulled the ITS off and cleaned it as well as cleaned the water out. Put it back together and it seems to be working like a champ. Thanks for the help guys
