yep, "refurb battery" is just code for "just another used battery". if you look at them as a battery that is not perfect, and pay accordingly, then you may get your moneys worth. as with all batteries, the way you treat them, and their previous life will decide what you may get out of them.

Yep there are some shops that recon batteries; in fact I bought one for the lawnmower at home. But I must admit I thought you meant you were going to refurb them yourself with one of the magic potions hawked out there.

Don't completely knock the magic potions. They have their place. I managed to bring 5 out 6 batteries back to life enough to determine I don't have any electrical problems. Epsom salt and a jug of distilled water is all it took.
