Is the resistor connected with a wire, to both sides of the solenoid,cause my solenoid ain't clicking,wondering if my resistor quit resisting,give me a amen!! My ride is dead man gotta say Oh Well

Thanks Scotty, Just starting to check out a 2000 series cart that quit a couple hundred yards from house. At first no solenoid click. Batts were full charge. Solenoid now clicks but still no go. But resistor very hot! Have been reading all threads tonight, recorded lots of info to check out. Will follow diagnostic instructions. Will be back with a new thread if not successful. Time to hit the sack.

if solenoid fails only high current path to controller is resistor....which cant handle all that current......hence burnt and / or super hot resistor....
