On a bad day, a serious cart thief can have just about any cart running in under 10 minutes regardless of what type of key you have in it. On a good day for them, with a modified cart like yours, it could be done in under a minute.

If by "serious cart thief" you mean machanicly inclined, I would say nothing's safe. But it's nice that most thief's are stupid. To them a "unique" key is akin to 64 bit encryption. LOL.

I mean they guys that steal carts for a living.......

The kids out looking for a quick joy ride will be SOL.
