Opinions on New Controller for a Newbie
Need to get a new controller so I'm looking for opinions on what to get. Cart is a stock 2011 RXV. The OEM controller is like $1200 but the shop that is working on it says I can get a much better one (programmable 400 or 500 Amp maybe) for a better price. I know next to nothing about this so I'm asking for input from you folks who know about these things. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated & please tell me why you would suggest a specific one.

Re: Opinions on New Controller for a Newbie
I've been looking to swap out my controller on my 2012 RXV and agree the price from EZGO is outrageous. I looked at Scotty's website, does he provide electrical components for newer model RXV's? Everything I see is for TXT's. I'll email him and see if there is anything he can provide for newer RXV's.

Re: Opinions on New Controller for a Newbie
Granted, my RXV knowledge is limited, but I don't know of an aftermarket controller for a RXV.
Alltrax builds controllers for Series and SepEx motors, but not AC motors. (Yet anyways) |

Is a 2011 RXV AC? I did not know that.

Re: Opinions on New Controller for a Newbie
You need AC drive for AC motor. You could swap motor and controller for what they want for a stock AC controller.
