Default Voltmeter Issues

I recently installed the 500 amp alltrax upgrade with solenoid and in dash voltmeter, and everything has been great but I just walked outside and noticed the voltmeter is on and running while the cart is turned off. The weird thing is that I installed the voltmeter 3 days ago and this is the 1st time it's done this. The only difference is its been raining outside for the last day and a half. Lol. I know the weather probably has no play on this but I figured I'd mention it. The voltmeter is also acting crazy and jumping anywhere from 39.6 to 37.5 and back up. I'm so confused!
