Electric ez go reverse issue

That's a DCS drive system, Not the one scottyb was talking about. No cables just the micro switches. Test the micro's and make sure they are working

Any specific way to test them? I just did some tinkering and i have 36 volts at the number 4 pin (orange reverse wire) going into the controller. I also switched the f1 and f2 cables around just to see what would happen and it will only go In reverse but not forward.

You just solved it either a bad f/r switch or the micro switch on the unit

need to do a continuity test on the micro switches. You might get lucky and it is a switch. If not more than likely it's the controller. That F/R switch only works the two micro's nothing else. Put your meter on continuity , put one lead on one wire on the micro switch, and the other lead on the other wire. Now push the little arm on the micro switch in and out and see if it works. If you switch the black and white wires on the F/R , it will change the direction. Sounds more like a bad controller

That sounds more like the brushes in the motor. If you can push the cart a little and it will go

I agree buddy, sound like the brushes are getting stuck or something

Any time a push gets it going I suspect brushes that need replacement.

Well that would certainly be good news. I guess I will have to pull it apart. I did not suspect brushes just because it ran so good going forward
