Re: Ezgo series wound clicks but won't GO
Got it. Is there a preferred vendor here on these forums? I'd love to support the guys helping me get this thing running again!

Re: Ezgo series wound clicks but won't GO
Wait. Didn't see the response on the solenoid replacement. I should just need a new resistor right? Or does the resistor ruin the solenoid (or vice versa)?

Re: Ezgo series wound clicks but won't GO
Another question for diagnostic purposes, is there a way to test to see if this resistor is going to be the fix? Is jumping the solenoid an option at all or does that take out all functionality of the pedal?
I'm not in a major rush to get running again, but I could save on shipping to order multiple things at once obviously |

Re: Ezgo series wound clicks but won't GO
the resistor supplys constant power to the controller so it does not get a spark
i do not know if it is bad that it won't make cart run |

Re: Ezgo series wound clicks but won't GO
So by limiting too much voltage and only pre loading the controller with 28v, the controller is not kicking on because it thinks the batteries are discharged? Or does it have a safety feature kick in to keep it from arcing?
Obviously I'm ordering a new resistor, just trying to wrap my brain around what it does. I've got a couple shops here within 5 minutes of my house that may keep this resistor on hand. Was hoping to order online at a site vendor, but that may have to wait until next year... Planning to upgrade the controller etc to get some more balls out of this thing! |

Re: Ezgo series wound clicks but won't GO
Another odd one... When I test the resistor with the multimeter, it shows exactly 250 which is what it's rated for! I assumed the resistor would read low showing the same results I got in voltage when it was installed. Seems odd that it would neck down the voltage by 25%+ and still read at its rating of 250ohms
