1990 ez go marathon wiring diagram

I have 1990 marathon cart that needs rewiring. I have tested all micro switches and solenoid has new motor. I need the control wiring diagram for the switches and solenoid.The diagrams for the small wires on line aren't very definitive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I should have stated that it has the old school resistors and no controller.

Thanks for the diagram. I have it wired but my resistor coil is heating up. How does the resistor work? Shouldn't the thinner coils be for high speed and the thicker coil is for slow speed? Please help.

resistor coils are made to burn off current
yes they get hot no thinner are for lower speed as there are more of them

Thanks for the help but it is an ez go with the old school resistor coil. Should there be continuity between A-2 and the motor hosing?

For the Ezgo make sure there is no cable connected to the lug where the wiper comes to rest at full pedal UP. Also see if the solenoid clicks each time you press the gas or just when you disconnect the battery main.

There is no wire to the first lug. I have an issue when I shift to reverse. It basically sends 36 volts to ground. I can put my meter on the negative terminal and touch any where metal on the cart and I have 36 volts It is going through S2 and A2 on the motor. The motor is new and if you disconnect all wires from it there is no continuity between the terminals and the housing. After hooking up S2 & A2 it shows continuity to the housing. Plus it fries my 12 volt wiring and blows radio fuse. Somehow 36 volts is back feeding into the 12 volt system. PLEASE HELP!!!
