Solenoid hookup
Does it matter with terminal goes to the battery, and witch of the smaller terminal's is + or -. there is no marking's to indicate which wire goes where.

All the (electric golf cart) solenoids operate the same - There is no polarity. The big posts are both +. You choose which small post is + and -

Yes and yes.
The banded end of the diode goes toward the small + wire. |

We recognize that most golf cart solenoids are sold to DIYers who forget to mark wires before disassembly. That's why we send instructions with each one.
