Default EZGO TXT 2001 Differential

My EZGO Service Manual 28646 for Electric carts does not cover the motor drive to differential. I bought the cart not working and have got the wiring/electronics working. When I apply the accelerator pedal I am getting a rough tumbling noise from the motor/differential area, like bad gear engagement. I would like to pictorially see how it works and what the problem may be before I start taking things apart. Your thoughts please. thank you.

There is a supplemental rear end manual. This exploded view is from that manual.

Check your brake hubs first and see if they are striped out. This is a problem with ezgo

Thank you ScottyB for the picture and quick response. Yes RIB33024 EZGO Brake drum splines fail to frequently but not this problem.

I have seen the input shaft strip out... easy thing to remove and inspect. Also Axles can snap... so check those 2 things before you tear the differential out.
