98 electric TXT not climbing hills

I'll ask my friend and verify what if anything has been done to his cart along with what model his is.

Here is mine though. I've been doing some digging myself so not everything is fully bolted down in the pictures but you can also see that it's not in the best of shapes either.

I saw the sticky for TXT diagnostics a bit ago but haven't had the chance to go test all that yet.

One thing I did look into was battery voltage under load. Batteries are at 37.6v normally, when starting off and going up hill the batteries read around 36, and when I'm going downhill the batteries read around 30v. Don't know if that means anything but I was expecting the opposite.

No that makes no sense. Battery voltage should not drop when going down hill.

I'll do more tests tomorrow with the new batteries and I'll put them on the charger tonight to make sure they are completely full.

Ok here is a video of the cart on jack stands and trying to go up that slight incline in my driveway. Apparently that massive voltage drop at speed was just on the 12v batteries and not on the 6 - 6v batteries.

If that's normal for 22" tires, I'll submit but I just have a hard time believing the previous owner of this cart would've built it up and then immediately sell it because it wouldn't go over a stick without a run up especially when it looks like it's been offroad underneath and in the wheel wells.

Looks like they put it together (never finished "building it"), didn't like the performance but used it anyway, after they found out how much finishing the build would cost. The stock controller, cables & solenoid will always perform poorly for what your expecting from it, since it was "just good enough" for golfing on stock tires as it was built.

I would agree with you if the shackles, suspension, and tires didn't have a ton of dirt, mud, and rust on them. Even if they were "take offs" from another cart, they'd be cleaner than they are. This cart was undoubtedly used offroad but I don't think it would make it down a flat dirt road if it didn't have hard packed gravel on it.
