Txt pds 73124g08 question
I acquired a 73124g08 motor out of a dumpster at work. I am betting the reason it was scrapped was the plug is gone. Anyways I have a 2003 non pds are they the same hp? I can't find any ratings on these motors. i don't want to waste my time mounting it and testing it if there will be no improvement over mine. Any input is appreciated

Re: Txt pds 73124g08 question
This is a stock motor. Also it is sepex (PDS). Not compatible with a series controller.

Re: Txt pds 73124g08 question
I'm not looking to use the pds function. I'm no expert but what internally would keep me from using the motor?

Re: Txt pds 73124g08 question
The 2 systems are like apples and oranges.
This motor will not work with the series drive system period. |

Re: Txt pds 73124g08 question
See that's where I'm lost both are a 4 wire hookup 2-brushes 2-field cool. I've never dealt with one but does the pds plug not tell the controller when deceleration is happening and supply voltage to batteries? Anyways to my original question where can I find the ratings for these just for future reference?

Re: Txt pds 73124g08 question
Google difference between series and separately excited motors.
Trust me - it ain't gonna happen. both motors are 2.5 hp at 2500 -2800 rpms Hope this helps |
