TXT run time with new batteries
I have a 2003 TXT 36 volt PDS with 23" tires.
Under "normal" operating conditions (fairly flat terrain, medium speed) what can I expect time or miles on the machine with new batteries? I know this is sort of a loaded question but just a decent ballpark. Right now the batteries are really old and 5-8 miles has been easily done and haven't gone any farther just to keep from being stranded. Thanks |

OK. Thanks. I was hoping for that. I will it mostly on my farm but it is nice to wander out on it once in a while.

I have a 36 volt TXT. Batteries are 9 months old.
Our neighborhood is 8 miles to the back and we drive back there all the time and of course back. I have never worried much about running out of battery. I never have let the charge go below 70 percent... Actually never gets anywhere near that. Cant say exactly how many miles we get but our new battery set has been great. Drove the kids all over the neighborhood for trick or treat and I think the batteries recovered to over 90 percent before I threw it on the charger. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: TXT run time with new batteries
Thanks. It's not how far you can go but how far you can come back! :) That gives me a good idea and is going to be plenty for my needs.

Re: TXT run time with new batteries
Why not install a simple voltmeter if you're worried? Doesn't have to be a dedicated golf cart monitor if you'll make note that 36.5v is roughly your "never exceed" voltage and 37.5v is your "time to turn around" voltage.
See ScottyB's battery break-in page... http://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-break-in-.html |

Re: TXT run time with new batteries
I have the factory meter and it does work well but wasn't sure how long it would run on good batteries. I think I will convert to a regular digital volt meter as the "gauge" doesn't really give me numbers
