Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
If you have the laptop connected see if the charger plugged in is indicated? If not then post pics of the solenoid - maybe we can see something.

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
Thanks. Here’s a pic of the solenoid and the controller. It doesn’t say the charger is plugged in. I had that problem originally but then plugged the charger in for a few minutes and it must have reset itself because it no longer had that issue.

Is the pack negative cable going through the OBC (hard to see)?

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
Since the solenoid is not engaging, can you disconnect one side of the small diode and see if the solenoid clicks that way?
Does the Battery main + cable connect to the solenoid at the bottom of the picture? |

Yea the battery + goes to the solenoid at the bottom of the pic. I tried it without the diode at all and have the same response when pressing the throttle.

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
Can you see if the MCOR is sending proper throttle response to alltrax? Also check your F-R switch connections. Also does the alltrax green light blink upon powering up? Lastly check and make sure your key switch is functioning properly. I know these are all seemingly simple things but you’d be surprised how easily these simple systems fail and cause alltrax input and output to be denied. Also disconnect all diodes at solenoid for testing purposes.

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
I believe the F-R connections are ok as the monitor registers it fine when I switch it... same with key switch. I get the 5 green blinks correlating to a club car and then solid green on start up.... then when i press the throttle the monitor and the error Code spits out the signal that it has low battery voltage. Yet the Monitor also shows that it has 50+ volts. What’s the best way to check the MCOR signal... don’t want to mess it up
Thanks everyone for the help. Determined to get this to work! |

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
Since the Alltrax Controller is getting the low voltage error, that means the OBC is not in lockout, the FNR is in a driving position, the MCOR micro-switch is closing and there is enough throttle signal to cause motor current.
You need to find out if there is 48v between the two small solenoid posts when you press the pedal. If so, the solenoid is either stuck or the coil is bad. You can disconnect the wires from the small solenoid posts and measure the resistance between them, is it is a open circuit, the meter will display 0L. If the coil is opened, replace the Solenoid. If there is resistance, the contacts are stuck. |

Re: Alltrax upgrade no power, solenoid issue? and custom wrap
Hey Sergio (or others)- I measured voltage from B- (on controller) to each of the 4 posts on the solenoid. Both large posts were at 50v and the battery+ small post was at 50v but the controller side small post was jumping all over - tried several times. This is while the cart was static... no throttle but key on and forward switch active. Is this indicative of anything? Bad solenoid... bad wire connection... or no meaning?
