I put a motor in one of those carts about 3 4 years ago. The motor was made in china as well as the other parts. The motor I changed melted inside. D&D made a replacement for me that worked great.
When checking for parts I found that the factory would only sell parts to a dealer of those carts. My quote for a motor was 1300.00 I guess because it had to come from china.

When the lady's cart broke down the next time I did not work on it so she sent it out, I heard 2k and 4 months in the shop later I see her driving it around the park again.

I've heard the same in New Orleans. I have sold quite a few things on CL and other online classifieds. Always meet in a neutral very public place. Actually sold a Rolex a while back for over $20K. We met at the local police station. I contacted the Chief first and explained the situation. He was nice enough to provide us a nice room to make the transaction with a couple officers hanging around.

We’ve had local news stories of iPhone sales gone bad. In one case the would be buyer tried to fight back and got shot.

OP never said where he is. But, that same cart is listed on CL for $4000 in Richmond. Same photos etc. Phone number is south Florida.

Well it does exist. I went to look at it and took it for a ride. It looks great from far but far from good.
