There's a reed switch in that diagram ?? OOhhhhh, you meant in the feed to this

Understood and a fuse probably wouldn't hurt either. Just thought this would give you the same circuit you had with the old rotary style. Neutral is Off..

now that we have the schematic of figured out. can this thing be mounted in any orientation. I would like to mount it with the plungers horizontal. will it work properly this way?

yes, mount it in a direction (orientation).

ScottyB,
I just installed your kit on my EZGO TXT and it came with a different wiring diagram than the one in this post. I was wondering which one is the correct version. The differences is the M- is going to the A2 on the motor and B+ on the controller is going to the feed on the rev contractor.

There is more than one way to skin this cat. This thread is 3 yrs old...Follow the directions you were sent.
