Ok,
So, FIrst of all - great battery article. Thanks

Next - The solenoid has never clicked, even when i bypassed the ignition and the reverse beeper was sounding. I tested voltage on both large terminals on the solenoid and one had +/- 38 volts and the other post had +/-36 volts. I tried to jump both of the large lugs with a pair of pliers and nothing (like you used to do on old cars when the solenoid would crap out). I'll head out in a few and try to locate the pedal activation box.. Im assuming its the one dead center underneath the cart and I have a dirt bath coming

Ill try following the red wire from the charger before the dirt bath :-)
Thanks for all of you guys' help. Hopefully well be truckin around on this thing soon !!

Josh, no real need for a dirt bath.....lift up the matt next to the seat and you will see a little cover held on with a screw, it's about 4" x 4", its the access to the throttle box.

Thats for sure !!!

OK so heres what I got and Im pretty excited.
The pedal switch works fie and sends 12 or so volts to the solenoid. With the key bypassed and the solenoid jumped (with a wire that was way too light and cooked after 3 seconds) - it moved !!!

so Im assuming a solenoid is in my future? Thoughts?

With the key on, cart in forward and you push the pedal down, do you get 36 volts at the two smaller lugs on the solenoid ? If not you still have an activation circuit issue. If you do, a new solenoid is probably in order.

well if the solenoid clicked then then that means it is engaging then I wouldn't mess with the solenoid. did you open the pedal box and look at the little switch in side of it. there should me a green and red wire running to it, hook the two of them together and see what happens.

Actually the solenoid never clicked, the switch was working fine underneath the floor mat.

You need to go look at the diagram in post #8 and start chasing the activation circuit to find where you are losing power. If you never get 36 volts to activate the solenoid it won't work.

yeah I agree, start chasing the wires. start from the charger port and work your way around that's where the power starts.
