You know.. I don't know if I'd rush to get one in. I just have the hole in the dash, and the old one that keeps popping out every time I hit bump.

Hopefully, its not too expensive since I really just need the mounting ring.

I'll be off-line until tomorrow evening, going to the last Wisconsin Hard Rock music festival for the year!
Someone else will chime in if you need clarification on any info/tag you find!

Good luck!

Thanks Lockman! Glad I found the site. You and Crash Test Dummy have been great.

We have 1 year old triplets at home, so spending time I the garage has been a slow and short lived process.

Looking forward to getting the cart mint to have some thing to give the three of them when they're older.

So I couldn't find that other label.

I'm uploading a few more pics with the hopes it help a bit more. But honestly, we know it's a DS with a FE350.

Any other ideas?

Front drum brakes!!!

It could be "just a DS", but I personally haven't seen any DS's with front brakes,
It's most likely a Villager/Transporter, or a Turf 2/Carry-All II (all based off of a DS platform)

Figuring out the year will be difficult!
It has a stamped (rather then tubular) engine pan, so it's a 97+, and most likely the engine rotates clockwise looking at the drive clutch,
I only know of one way to figure out how to come close to the year of it... and your not going to like it!

On the backside of the engine/fan shroud, (between the engine and transaxle)
there is an engine ID plate, it'll look like this:

018.JPG

019 (2).JPG

My cart is a 2007, and my engine was built June of 2006,

The only way I know of to see that tag is to remove the engine shroud,
OR... unbolt the engine from the pan and transaxle, and turn the engine cock-eyed!

I wish I had more info to help you with!

We're good. This is great. I'll try to see if I can get the engine shroud off this weekend. Is it pretty difficult to do. I thought the fan shround cover was just a couple screws on the side of the engine.

The only thing I find odd is that I had to replace the jounce bumpers, althe only place I was able to find them was by correlating a diagram to my frame. The diagram that shows the jounce bumper was a Precedent Villager 4 passenger. The discription for the Club Car Jounce bumper says it fits Precedent and DS, but I can't find a single DS parts diagram that shows the Jounce Bumper.

For the most part, I have questions about adjusting the governor and aligning the front end. Hope this stuff will be easy just using pictures. I probably start a new thread.

I read a thread about adjusting the governor, but non of the stuff he was talking about seems to apply to me.

I was hoping on being more precise when asking questions on the forum or looking up topics.

The fan shroud, (plastic w/4 screws) mounts to the engine shroud (6 bolts)
It's best to just try to turn the engine in the pan to view it!
(4 bottom bolts, and 4 nuts/studs through to the transaxle.)

And yeah... the Joust bumpers are on the Tour-All's, Villager 6's, and Carry-All's.
I had to look it up... I didn't have a clue what you were talking about, because DS's don't have them!
(A "bottom out" bumper on the rear axle)

The front alignment and the governor/Zip tie adjustments are the same as the DS!
Feel free to start a new thread if you wish!

So I found this sticker on the engine.

Is there a place to check the engine year by serial number?
