Re: 79 Club Car Solenoid
as you push the go pedal the micro switches engage the Solenoids
the first one (right side of photo) is the main it supplies power to the others the current flows through the resistor coils to the motor the resistor coils burn off power making the cart go slower as each Solenoid is engage it by passes the coils making the cart go faster with the go pedal fully push the last Solenoid (left side of photo) engages by passing all the coils giving the motor full power |

Re: 79 Club Car Solenoid
Thanks. Do the solenoids also determine the reverse speed? My reverse is very week.

Re: 79 Club Car Solenoid
reverse is hooked up to 18v from the factory
if you want it to go faster (in reverse) i'd have to tell you where the cables go |

Re: 79 Club Car Solenoid
there is no harm in moving the cable for full power reverse ... just be aware you will go fast backing up
move the wire on the #4 neg battery to the #1 positive battery post i know this sound strange but they used the #4 battery to save cable this is a close diagram of your set up red cable is the one to be moved |

Once again thank you. I plan to do all of this to get the cart working at 100%.
