Default 98 CC running intermittent

Hi all! I have a 98 cc regen that will run fine for a bit, and then just quit?!! It will go until you take your foot of the gas pedal and then won't go again. When I switch from f to r and back again, the solenoid clicks, and if you look at the motor when you push the pedal, the motor seems to torque up like it wants to go, but it doesn't... Batteries are 2 years old...I took all battery connections loose this morning and cleaned them all...all connections seem tight on all the battery cables... I have noticed recently that I sometimes would have to push the pedal down 2 or 3 times to get it to go, but it never quit totally before. Looking for ideas! Thanks in advance for any help.

No thoughts, Guys? Is it too broad a description of the problem?

Yes, you might want to take it to a motor repair shop.

If you have the year correct on your cart - it could also be a failing micro switch in your multi-step potentiometer. See THIS THREAD - read it closely, including links to other threads.
