Default 2001 48v DS SLOOOOOOOW

Just got it running thanks to golfer Dave, but dang is this thing slow. 2013 trojan t875's, my kids just drove it down the street a few times and my son can jog faster than this cart will go. Got it back in the garage and batteries all are at 8.7v. I just replaced the vglide last weekend and this is the first time driving the cart. Any suggestions?

Is it a series car or a Regen 2? Series cars will have a lever operated F&R switch. Regen 2 cars will have a toggle switch for the F&R switch and a Tow/Run switch under the seat. Both of these models are slow, 12-14 mph, but the approach to speed them up is different.

Its a series. Im thinking maybe when I put the vglide back in the arm isnt going all the way to the top? Is the pedal throw adjustable?

That could definitely be the case and yes it is a rod that has a nut on it to adjust the v glide arm travel. Sorry to hijack the post tahoedawgz lol

Yes, that could definitely be the issue, but even with it going to the top contact, it's still going to be considerable slow compared to today's new carts. A high speed motor would wake it up. I recommend the Admiral A1 motor for a Club Car series car.

Question, if it shows 52v going out of the vglide "green wire" does that mean that the arm is going all the way up?

No. That's the wire from the microswitch that engages the solenoid. It's irrelevant to throttle control. If you want to check the V-Glide for maximum output you'll need to unplug the Yellow and Green female blade connectors from the controller. They're located on posts "2" and "3". Set your multimeter to 20k ohms and put the leads of your meter into the ends of the wires. With the key on and the F&R shifter in Forward, depress the pedal slowly until it's at full throttle. You should see approximately 5000 ohms at no throttle and 0 ohms on the screen at full throttle.

Doing this it goes from 4750 to 1060 when he pedal is pushed.

Thinking you may have a 5k - 0 ohms Vglide
But controller may need the 0 - 5k one. .? .

Not sure how to find out
Get number off your controller may help

I did adj mine a bit
Mine is 99, it has the 5k-0 Vglide & controller

Was thinking of how to test it
Go to the floor with go pedal
As you slowly let up, if it goes faster as you slowly let the pedal up
You have a 0-5k controller

That make sense TahoeDawg?
