Put in a kawasaki diff and there are a couple of limited slip options. I used the Porcellato Eng. shim washer kit. Works really well so far.

Looks like Porcellato dropped off the face of the earth.

Has anyone had any trouble with twisting/breaking axles with a welded diff? It would probably be OK with turf tires [sahara's and the like] but what about a real, hard biting off road/mud tire? Also my cart tends to understeer a little on really slippery surfaces [snow/ice] but good clay can get greasy too. Would be even more of an issue with guys/gear in a back seat hanging out behind the cart. Just some questions to ponder.

I had no issues with any parts breaking. I had a Precedent running 64v to a high torque GE motor with a 700 amp FSIP controller. 23" Swamp Fox off road tires and a welded diff. Ran circles around the 4x4 cars with front hub motors. Never broke anything. Pulled small trees out of the ground. Hung deer stands with a pulley system. Literally beat the heck out of it and it kept wanting more.

Cool!!! How about the steering/handling? Does it chatter when turning on asphalt? What kind of load did you have on the back?

If you weld it, there will be no chattering from the rear end. Your tires might make a bit of noise on tight turns...

That is what I meant. Chattering was maybe the wrong choice of words. Was wondering since the axle assembly is sprung and not like a control arm setup like a 4 wheeler, if the axle stayed still and didn't try to squirm under the cart.

I never had an issue. Never drove it much on pavement. It was built for hunting so I never drove it on pavement at all. I once had it loaded with 20 50 lb bags of fertilizer and it never phased it. It had a carryall 2 body and bed on it.
