Default Add-on Locking glove box door?

Is there any pre-fab locking glove box door that just "bolts" in to what is already there? I don't really want to spend $150+ for a whole new dash.

My end goal is to have a way to lock up a few things like other keys, bluetooth speaker, etc. So if someone has a better idea on how to do this aside from locking the glove box(es)..i'm all ears.

I understand that nothing is really secure on the cart - heck they could just take the whole cart if they were determined enough

Anywho I have a '06 DS - with the basic glove box...just the openings in the dash.

I found something at franklin golf cars but it was still $130, and I wasn't really sure if that was just doors to the boxes or what - that was all that was pictured but that seems outrageous for $130.

I made my own glove box door for my 06 Carryall (DS)
Less than $30 into it. (that was four doors, 2 on my brothers DS and 2 for mine. I only put one on though)
But I'll be darned if I don't have a picture!

It is simple, you need to make a template, and use a router to put a lip on the board to get it to fit nicely.
Then you'll need to use a sander to put a bevel on the edges so it doesn't get hung up on the trim. Small 1.5" door hinges screw right into the panel at the bottom of the dash. What we did was use a dremel and cut slots into the doors and just used gorilla glue and slid the hinges into the door.Lastly get some glove box door locks and you're good to go!

Links below for the supplies we used. The PVC board is paintable.

There is a video of my drivers side door operating. I can get detailed pics this weekend for you.

Kash/John, you are missing your calling. Those are professional looking and would sell easily. This is entrepreneurship at its best!! Why don't you make a dozen or so and then market them here and on e-Bay. I'd buy a set and I'm sure you would find a very good market for them... (and I am serious)

I am not a sponsor here, therefore I do not wish to tempt the BGW Overlords with a reason for my banishment.

Oh no, not my intent, I meant become one to sell them or work a deal with David or scottyb and be a supplier to them. Ebay is easy as I'm sure you know... I know David - Revolution and East Coast and Golf Cart King all sell thru Ebay.
