1978 gas ezgo battery drain
I have a 1978 gas ezgo cart and the battery will drain on me after driving for a while. I replaced the battery. Once the battery goes dead, I can put it on the charger and it will go fine once charged. However, if I go on a full charge and drive for about 30 minutes stop and go, and come back the battery is between 50-75 %. So I get maybe a good hour of driving before going dead. I have gone with the lights wire unhooked as well and it still does the same thing.
Looked over all of the wires and ground and they all are good. |

Re: 1978 gas ezgo battery drain
I think i found the issue, there was a short in the wiring harness that connected to the starter/generator. Cut the red wires on both end of the harness and wired together and runs great now.
