Default dual motor

I have the chance to get my hands on an 2007 bad boy buggy real cheap. No batteries and it appears the chassis wiring harness is toast. I know for sure the motors work.

it looks like this is basically a ezgo frame and set up. I do know the plugs on harness are different. a new bad boy harness is over $1200 used is $500

The question is, couldn't I just put a ezgo set up in the bad boy? would a heavy duty alltrax or other 700+ amp controller would it be enough for the two motors? that way just run it full time 4wd. this should drastically reduce the complication of the bad boy factory set up.

the idea with starting off with this platform is to have 4wd and build a cart with possibly up to 72 volt using Nissan Leaf batteries. also the thing is I have most of all these parts to put it together.

Default dual motor

When I convert the mini Jeep to 4wd. I’m going to keep my same control system and just run the 4 wires (separately) from the rear motor to the front motor. Each wire will have a solenoid in the middle and then all I have to do is flip a toggle switch when I want 4x4. I think the setup will last a while as I don’t plan on needing the 4x4 often. And if the controller burns out after a while then I’ll upgrade when the time comes.
You should just need 72v solenoids.

You might benefit from pm ing Scotty on this , I think he could give you some good advice on this.
The techs at Alltrax helped me with some of my questions on the 48v system.
