Re: 295 mci no power
Get the MCI coil. You have the MCI engine so it needs that coil. Someone before you didn't want to spend the money to buy one.
I have used a MCI coil on a pre mci engine because I had the connector . I just wanted to see what difference it would make. None that I could tell. I wouldn't think the pre mci coil would work on the MCI engine because it was designed to create a hotter spark. My bet is that's your problem. I actually got one that someone cut the plug wires off it. They were trying to get a cart to run that someone had installed a pre mci engine in and it was a no go so they just sold me the cart. I had a wiring harness from a pre mci and and coil and it ran fine. |

Re: 295 mci no power
Does the rest of it look like mci parts? Can I buy just the plug or can I shove some small spade connector on it

You have the MCI ignitor when looking at your pictures. You need to get the MCI coil. You could make two wires work using a small female connector on the MCI coil. Here is what the MCI coil looks like where you plug your two wires in. Shouldn't be a problem making something that would work. |

Re: 295 mci no power
I got an OEM MCI coil that a person cut one of the plug wire flush with coil and the other wire has the end cut off it. We might could work something out if I can figure out to get spark plug wires on it.
I got this coil when I bought the cart three and 1/2 years ago that the man tried to make fire and he didn't know he put a pre mci engine in a cart that came with the MCI engine. Don't look like these plug wires are replaceable but I think it could be made work. I don't have a clue why he cut the wires. I do know he give up on making it run and I ended up buying the cart. You do know that these MCI OEM coils are $375.71 and that is why the person before you tried to make this pre mci coil work using the cheap pre mci one. |

Re: 295 mci no power
At the least it's a good start. It definitely looked like a weak spark on my spark board
I have the right one coming |

If you get it running ok then I would suggest you add an oil pressure light. These MCI engines will trash the cylinder head if run low on oil. Just a tip . |
