Default Golf Cart suddenly quit running

We have a 1991 club car. The batteries are about 4 years old and check out okay.

We have been noticing a loss of power going up hill, but it runs fine on level ground.

Yesterday when running, it made a noise then quit.

Husband changed the solenoid but still no power.

any other suggestions?

Thanks!

welcome, 1st start with basics.....it only takes one bad cell in one battery to stop a cart......or 1 wire or cable...........91 has to be 36 volt start with a voltage meter and check voltage of each battery than the pack......than load test and check cells with a hydrometer and while your at it check cables make sure all intact and clean and tight........if your not sure write voltage #,s down and post them but this is where to start........also ckeck water levels and if needed distilled water only about 1/4 over plates.............................

next would be soleniod.....do you hear a loud click when you press pedal? if not jack the rear up and jump the large post on soleniod see if cart runs......if it has 5 soleniods behind batteries its the one furthest left on drivers side.......................................

U know U can't believe a word he says (least that what my wife says about me )

Get the voltage reading from each battery , and then across entire pack and
post them back here
