My new project
After my son and I got our heads shaved for the St Baldricks charity (childhood cancer research), I decided to venture into a new project. Now the fun begins. Brakes are bad and it has 2 bad batteries, and the charger does not work. AAHH the fun of owning a buggie.

Re: My new project
Well unfortunatly I found that the frame is broken in one spot. and the brakes dont work because the mounting point where the brake meets the cable is rusted and bent.
I add 2 new batteries and got 36v and the buggie goes 10mph. The peddle seems spongie. There is no speed increase from middle of peddle to the floor. One cable from the FnR switch to the motor get hot. |

Re: My new project
Thanks for the pix Andy. Looks like I need to learn how to weld.
Any idea about the spongy peddle? It just feels like there should be more speed. |

Re: My new project
I have decided that since this cart is so rusty, I'm going to remove the batteries and anything else I can and really check the frame out. Scrap all the rust off and repair any trouble spots.
But I would like to find out about the peddle/speed issue first, so I have a before/after gauge. |

Re: My new project
not to kill a dream, but there is a point in time when you have to consider sending some things on to the boneyard..... if the electronics are in good condition (Although the pic of them shows me that the solenoid is wrong and needs to be HD), I would suggest setting this to the side and trying to locate a similar cart with less cancer (rust) on the frame.
