How hard is it to change electric motor? Want a more powerful and faster motor. Thanks Neal Klaw

Neal, I don't know what other mods you have done to your cart, but most of us usually upgrade several other components before upgrading the motor. Typical upgrades include speed controler, solenoid, cables, and f/r switch for series carts. These upgrades provide a nice boost in performance. If you still want more, upgrade your motor after these changes. If you upgrade your motor before these changes, chances are you will see little or no performance gains.

I think if you read some of the many threads you'll find moderate increases in speed and torque do not require a change of the motor. Just upgrading the cables may help. Upgrading cables, controller and F&R switch will give you slightly more speed and torque. Upgrading the voltage can give you acceptable increases in speed.
Bottom line is, many people here have learned and passed on, a change in components, not motors, can produce controllable and predictable increases.

That's right

A bigger or faster motor of any kind will have to draw more amperage than the stock motor. You will need to increase your delivery system. Lots of guys are happy with an increased in the voltage and amp delivery to their stock motors and nothing more.
